Dear friends, Odyss�as has had his surgery! 

On September 3rd he was found sitting in the middle of the road, with his broken leg dangling, crying for help. Two animal loving Greek ladies took pity and brought him to us. Initially a bandage was put on his bad leg.


X-rays that were taken at the vet’s later, showed that his leg was broken just above the joint and we decided to have the vet perform surgery on Odyss�as as this was the only method to permanently help this young and affectionate dog. During surgery a metal plate was screwed onto his broken bone.

. By now the staples have been removed and for a few months Odyss�as will have to wear a bandage and he will have to be slowly trained to walk normally again. After eight months the metal plate will be removed.


His two guardian angels, the two Greek ladies, will be able to keep him only for a short while longer and that’s why we are very urgently looking for another temporary – or permanent – home for this very lovable and obedient dog. He loves human company and is ever so patient when being examined and treated. You can a look at him on youtube here:
