I was born in Greece. I was homeless and living out on the street, and those streets are dangerous. I got hit by a car or kicked by somebody, either way, my leg was broken. In this desperate situation I was picked up and taken in by animal welfarists who organised surgery in Germany for me and then you donated money for that! Surgery and the time right after were not so great, as you can imagine, but thanks to the wonderful care of my family I was quickly able to put that time behind me. Now I am feeling really well, I have no pain at all, I can run around and what I like best is chasing after sticks and proudly carrying them around. The vet says my health has greatly improved. To make sure I keep improving my family takes me to physiotherapy regularly. Last week I had to have my claws cut at a different vet and she remarked on what a great dog I was. The lady and the gentleman I am staying with said, that they had known that already and that is why my foster family has become my permanent family. Thanks to the great food that my owner cooks especially for me, I look great, my coat is all shiny, I am alive and active and feel just wonderful! Boy, life is beautiful! THANK YOU! Yours, Mikey. |

Addendum: costs for surgery so far have added up to 1000.00 Euro. In spring the nails will have to come out in another surgery which will cost approximately 300 Euro.
