Rosi had been abandoned in a mountainous area along with another dog. At the same time poisoned bait had been placed and when the two dogs where found, Rosi was the one still alive while the other one had died of poisoning.
 

Rosi was limping and guarding her right front leg when she was found and the reason seemed to be a wound on that leg that in the meantime has been treated and is healing nicely. However, the limping has not subsided. X-rays have shown nothing noticeable. Possibly, a neurological disorder is causing the limp. Rosi is protecting the ankle joint by keeping the leg straight or by walking on the other three legs. 

Rosi is a lovely character, very attached to humans and getting along well with everybody – a real dream dog! Because she loves to play and run around we would like to try to get rid of her handicap and try everything possible. It is likely that she will need surgery, possibly an ankylosis.
